We put seeds in a month or so ago but because the cold hung around for so long we were a little worried we wouldn't see much grow. Happily, this month things have started to sprout and the garden is our favorite place to be.
This is really the perfect time of year. Everything is green and growing, the mosquitos haven't really come out yet and since the husband loves to grill, I get to enjoy it all with a glass of wine and some knitting.
This is the first pair of socks I've ever tried to make and after putting in a little time I realized I was getting some "ladders" on the sides of the socks.
Through the wonder of the internet I found some tips on preventing the laddering when working in the round, so I've now ripped this all out and started over. I would be frustrated but I'm a fairly inexperienced knitter and I really feel like I'm learning a lot with this project despite - or maybe because of - the set backs.
I love this time of year. I'm always excited at the end of the day to know we're going to be able to sit in the yard, soak up the last of the sun and relax.
