2016 had the usual mix of crafting, travel and family with the unfortunate distraction of work thrown in as well. We celebrated our ten year wedding anniversary in New Orleans and spent the New Year in Berlin. I touched a black rhino (!!!) while on a trip to visit family in Chicago and watched my brother get married in Washington on the Sound. I've kept busy with stitching and knitting and quilting and actually completed a few projects. We did some renovation in the backyard to create some raised garden beds and got a pretty great garden out of it on the first go round.
We have also had some pretty sad moments this past year - I keep it light on the blog and it's actually a good place to focus on happy thoughts, but its been a little tough to get going and get back in the swing of things in the new year.
I'm feeling a little more on track and hoping that 2017 brings some happier moments and as always lots of stitching to talk about.
