I finally finished the Bergama shoulder bag to various levels of success. On the one hand, I was able to finish putting it all together:
I like the way the liner looks with the needlepoint, and I also like the way the seam that connects the needlepoint panels looks and how it sets off all the colors colors in the bag. However:
This is not really a cross body bag. The picture on the kit made it look like it would hang comfortably and this is essentially an arm pit bag. I think I can add a little material to the handle and extend the length and make it actually work, but it was a little bit of a disappointment to find it was going to need a bit more futzing to use it.
Despite it not being a perfect finish, it's perfect timing to finish one of the WIPs on my list as it's time to get started on some Christmas crafts. My friend and I are doing another holiday craft exchange and I'm excited to share my progress on that as well as some smaller projects that I think I can knock out for gifts and things.
I can't believe how quickly this year has flown by. I'm ready to celebrate some holidays and snuggle up by the fire. Hope everyone is finding some time to slow down and start enjoying the start of the holiday season!
