I think I'm like most crafters in that I like to listen to something or watch something when I'm working on a project. It's often a great way to mainline a season of tv you missed or - in this case - purge on an awesome podcast that you've just found out about. In addition to crafting I also have a little bit of a commute on public transportation every day so I listen to podcasts then as well. Here are a few of my favorites:
This podcast covers women in history and their subjects run the gamut from royalty to authors to artists. Their series on "The Buccaneers" - The American women during the Gilded Age who went to England to marry Royalty - is fascinating. These women are fun to listen to and they provide a bunch of links to information if you want to explore any of their topics further.
Do you love terrible movies? Then you'll love this podcast. The hosts are comedians and their discussions about movies like Howard the Duck, The Devil's Advocate, and Anaconda are hilarious.
Emma Newman is a an urban fantasy author. She interviews other authors and artists in the fantasy and sci fi realm and at the end of the interview they often encounter some 'mild peril' when exiting Emma's tea lair. It's like a great interview mixed with some fun radio drama.
I hope you enjoy one or all of these podcasts - they are really fun!
